Assertion Analysis #7 Surrender
In 1830 president Andrew Jackson signed the Indian removal act which forced Natives to be kicked out of there ancestrial homeland. This act would convey today as a wrong doing and in my opinion should be punishable by death it is honestly wrong and inhumane to banish a people from whats rightfully there's it is not american it is barbaric like no sympathy or remorse was shown for this body of people. In Chief Josephs surrender speech his use of words displays his mental and physical exhaustion as he as lost the fighting spirit due to the on slaught from the white man in battle. Thats truly messed up as they took a warriors pride fighting spirit and homeland leaving families and kids infants homeless is thats god plan to bully the pride and beat the fight out of a people who just want to live in peace.
Chief Joseph is a example of a real man and great leader as he may have still wanted to fight until he himself couldnt fight anymore but he surrendered to spare the lives of his people he most likey could bare to see the tears shed from wives and children as they see there father's covered in puddles of blood. This takes a toll on the human mind death plays a role on any and every religion body of people anyone an peaceful death is disturbing any way you put it Chief Joseph put his pride to the side and surrendered as he could no longer bare witness to this massacre of the people he loved his world came crumbling down and he could only watch as he was overpowered
In Chief Joseph's surrender speech he gets straight to the point as he states in his opening sentence "I am tired of fighting, Our chiefs are dead". That opening sentences shows how dire the situation is he has no choice but to give up as he dosent want to be the cause of his peoples extinction because the white man has no remorse theyll shed blood until there is no more blood to be shed if they have to they truly have a killer instinct and it is honestly sickening. Chief Joseph has earned my respect as pride can be a warriors burden but it didnt get in the way of him making the right decision.
In Conclusion, a true warrior knows when to throw in the towel if it prolongs the life of his beauty. Life is precious and beautiful and so many precious and beautiful lives shouldn't be wasted stop war instill kindness in everyone so theres no need for revenge forgive but never forget.

SS2 Black elk
In response to question 1 The sharing of oral stories and tradition is a last resort survival tactic and should only be used so in dire situations for any other reason should be frowned upon and consequences should be harsh as that is there treasure there form of money and something of value and for it to be shared with outsiders is like the crime Snowden committed sharing crucial sacred information
Assertion Analysis #6
Is White change always great change? John Lame Deer in my opinion thinks other wise as he gives a sarcastic response to the change of his peoples "uncivilized ways" as he states that they were so uncivilized there was no need for dirty deeds the need for greed wasn't in them they had no value in material things, wealth came from tribal status and genuine kindness. Great character and status were the characteristics of there billionaires.
First can a uncivilized society be more at peace then a civilized one? Second can instilling cultural beliefs ruin an entire civilizations lively hood? In today's society modernization, government and unnatural laws have had a two sided affect on the people as a whole one side of the affect brings great joy peace and happiness and the other side the opposite side brings stress hardships and sometimes tragedies. This flip of the coin affect, shows the odds of being happy and being sad thats what a civilized society really has to offer you a 50/50 chance at happiness. Also religion isnt for everybody and should'nt be forced upon those who don't want to accept it because there heart will never truly be in it they'll just curse it by speaking half heartdly and not acting on the cultural beliefs of that religion.
Deer challenges the need to instill civilization to create peace and order to a group of people who have achieved that without it in his quote he often uses the word "We" to mock the abuse of power by the white man that forced natives to assimilate. Deer states how the indigenous people were in really bad shape as they were happy and peaceful without the knowing-ness of material wealth so they had no need for greed they valued eachothers life more than anything which was one of many pros in the reasoning for there happiness. Lame Deer uses verbal irony to convey that the native people didnt need to be controlled by the white man to be happy they just needed to be one with thereselves as there system of equality was actually perfect everyone and every living thing had value they valued the ground they walked upon.
In conclusion, Lame Deer's argument is that the Natives were perfectly fine without the white anglo saxton government and the need for material value they were a pure people left tainted and abused by the white mens strength that forced them to assimilate.

City Upon a Hill
John Winthrop a well known puritan during the 1600's was take Christianity and expanding it too America after being released or some can say kicked out of England. Winthrop's view on forced expansion was that he can't Fuck up or he would fail in his mission for his people and good he must be the most pure puritan there ever was and his followers must follow in his footsteps equally. John Winthrop must inforce these values strictly and harshly to get complete involvement out of his following to not fail. This use of controlled fear made it easier to control his following.
Winthrop is stating that in order to make America a puritans home they must never be un-holly he uses fear tactics due to the pressure placed on him by good and English officials as he dosen't want to fail his lord or be mocked for his incompetence. These fear tactics are created from religious ideas saying that they are viewed by all as the top notch or gold standard of what complete dedication to religion is they are an up and coming religious society so there was a very thin line between success and failure. These tactics can be viewed as sinful as using fear as a tool to make your followers comply to a culture is wrong in many ways but the most effective fear is these words stated by Winthrop "Shall shame the faces of many of God's worthy servants"'. Natural fear is holly controlled fear is full of limitless sinful oppurtunities.

Assertion Analysis #4 "AMERIkkkA"
Curtis Lee Mayfield a American known producer, song writer and gutarist. He took his first claim to fame in the 1950s and 60s as the civil rights movement played as a "billboard" to any black man who wanted to take a stand. Mayfield started with his album cover in which he displayed the truth behind america as he states in big bold letters "There's no place like America" using sarcasim as America in his display is all about poverty and filth the opposite of what the original American Dream billboard was portraying basically using his album as a stepping stool to expose and tell America's leaders to stop lying stop selling false dreams tell the truth.
Curtis Lee's album cover shows a line full of black people looking rough, rugged and in need the total opposite of the "American Dream". So why would we need to false advertise freedom and comfortable living to acquire outsiders we don't really want? Mr. Lee in my opinion thinks it for capital as more people acquires more money more people equals more power "Amerikkka"(spelled the way of my elders) is a country full of greed money and power hungry driven for total control masked by big words false hopes and fake smiles. What is the American dream? Can it really be achieved ever? The American dream is based on ones claim to a successful life in which they want to live a comfortable life doing so that is achieved less often then outsiders would think as i am a perfect example i will be successful but i haven't always lived comfortably my American dream has been compromised due to false advertisement the land of the free cost a lot and the home of the brave is controlled by scary sons of bitches in suits and ties.
Could Curtis Lee Mayfield be using the serious and historical Civil Rights Movement to take his claim to fame and increase his album sales? This argument is very logical as the attention his album recieeved was most likely increased due to the podium it was displayed on due to his choice of album cover in such a controversial time. Its smart really smart but wrong he used his fame to shed light on false advertisement by Amerikkka's leaders. But did he do it for money or to provoke change? I cannot answer this question factually but i feel it is a mixture of both as it brings his art (music) more attention and that's always good for any artist. Money and happiness or Truthfulness and abandonment motto of Amerikkka.
In conclusion, Mr.Lee's historical album cover sheds light on the hiding truth of Amerikkka disguised by white men in suits that's Amerikka's hierarchy where money equals happiness and the truth gets you abandoned. #STAYWOKE

Assertion Analysis #3
Tupac Aumir Shakur a legend always and forever in music history and also American history faced many obstacles throughout his life as he was growing up in the toughest and roughest of neighborhoods defending himself from irresistible temptation and facing a person he loved the most fighting an addiction and losing for the most part (His Mother) all this to prove to any doubters that beauty can arise from anywhere as he is the embodiment of "The Rose who grew from Concrete".
The rose symbolizes the potential in each and everyone and that greatness can bloom even in the most difficult and un-ideal situations. Tupac's career is the embodiment of the rose that grew from concrete as concrete may symbolize the parks and floors he had to sleep on or the pallets he had to share. Roses are the sign of love and forgiveness the rose that grew from concrete is the kid who grew up in the roughest and toughest situations but still wasn't influenced by all the hate surrounding them there desire to love to forgive and to succeed acted as sunlight and water for the rose to bloom.
This poem is so special because it aids to our discussion about the "American Dream" and that it is obtainable by anyone who wants it bad enough. Tupac's movement paved the way for young lost kids to express themselves and instead of dying to societies stereotypes and remaining a seed they could try to venture out and bloom into something amazing. Tupac's main goal from my view is to protect young "Brothas and sistas" from becoming a negative product of there enviorment as the concrete displays the lack of the lack of a father, the lack of clothes' the lack of food, the lack of a home, the lack of being able to be a kid thats the role concrete plays its solid and every now and then you get a crack and through that crack is where greatness has the oppurtunity to bloom.
In conclusion, Tupac's poem displays the potential of less fortunate children in poverty and drug abused neighborhoods to bloom into something totally opposite of what there enviorment displays. Roses thorns can be a defense against the concrete so for one to bloom you need someone to believe and protect you Tupac's well known mother protected him from the concrete thus giving him enough space to bloom we all can't succeed by ourselves we need someone to sacrifice so we can seek and find the right things to bloom Tupac is the gardener for ghetto to success pipelines.

SS 1 Between the world and me
In response to question #3 I feel "Between the World and me" leaves us with the opposite of hope it leaves us with a feeling sort of close to pessimism in which I have no faith in change. Also I feel this piece dosent give us hope because the death of the prince as he was the embodiment of success in my opinion as he was portrayed in the book but his life was wrongly and severly shortened and in white America's eyes there no one to blame the shooter is the victim not the defenseless young black prince. I feel that Coates was trying to display some forms of hope for the people but it was over shadowed by fear anger and brutality from his peoples past. I am left with the hope in my own destiny if anyone has the drive to be great hard or easy path they will make a way.

Assertion Analysis #2
In my opinion Brad Blum uses his own form of the Historical Bill of Rights to bring credibility to his business. Blum affectively does this by using the formula per se of some of the greatest laws ever put together. These laws display equality, diversity, and freedom to be you. Brad Blum believes this solid source of credibility gives his customers a feeling of limitless power even though its power to have shaped especially for them that dosen't really mean anything to the next. I guess the power to change your order from a large to a small and have a soda and juice explosion in your cup can make americans feel like the president or something. Mr. Blum also refers to the word "Rights" a lot due to the fact those are some of the guidelines the American dream are founded apon the right to be you all of you with out holding back even if others don't agree, you can be you.
Mr. Blum's use of great humor and techniques of Ethos displays that eating at one of his restaurants your in control of your meal he also uses food as an allusion to persuade people to buy from him flashing back to my John Greene blog I referred to Americas weakness as our cravings for food all day every day so CEO Blum must of realized that and exploited it in a positive way. Mr. Blum thinks that using false propaganda and selling of fantasies will increase his stores sell rate

Assertion Analysis #1: American Dream and Cheerleader Sex
This blog is about John Greene an author famous for his books directed to the young adult audience but my blog is a response to John Greene's satire reference of the very coveted "American Dream" to "Cheerleader Sex". In my opinion Greene used this humorous reference to remove or draw attention away from his very disrespectful comment in all dishonoring what the American dream for immigrants really is its not about better or ideal living, great jobs and equal treatment its all about high quality sexual attraction for american women getting there sons laid. Greene's use of this cheerleader sex confused me at first but it started to unravel as i noticed that he used his parents immigration to america and all of there great sacrifices as reasons for him to obtain a very meaningless goal compared to those stated by other immigrants making the very treacherous journey to America to obtain the very coveted "American Dream".
In the quote John Greene stated "Amid the snowy hilltops of western North Carolina, their son would lose his virginity to a cheerleader in the woman's bathroom of a Waffle house. In my opinion Greene is saying this meaningless goal to mock the American dream in humorous fashion as America is known around the world as an over weight country who´s weakness is sex, food, and laughter. So Cheerleader sex inside of a waffle house bathroom can fit all of those descriptions. So does John Greene in a whole that the very coveted American dream to a meningless sexaul attraction of sexual intercourse with a cheerleader.
In conclusion, are Mister Greene´s comments acceptable to any including americans and immigrants who have made the treachourous journey and the ones who only dream about it? . In my opinion no, but he has been spared in our great country that he mocked theres an amendment that gives any and everyone ¨Freedom of speech¨ So luckily Greene is protected by his ignorant us of words. However, I still feel Greene should be held to some type of accountability because he may have poisoned many individuals views, especially up and coming young minds due to his great young adult fan base. All in all, I feel that Greene has abused his social power to poison young individuals minds which is never good for any country. He has lost a fan of many years.
